Brief Description:  Fitting the two opera windows

Now that the baggage area is set-up, the need for access through the opera windows holes is reduced - so time to fit the windows. Theprotective tape had mostly come off my winows so I had to start by cleaning and retaping them. I tidied out the joggle in the fuse then lay the windoiw in and marked from the inside and outside.

It was a warm day (about 28C) so the perspex was OK to work. I cut it to shape, then chamfered the inside edge to match the joggle curve, then refitted and checked. I had made the clamps earlier so I drilled the holes and test fitted them. I then removed the protective tape to within 3/16 of the edge of the joggle on the inside (overlap).

Then wetted out the joggle and the window, mixed a flocking mix, applied a bead of the mix to the window and pressed into the joggle - then played with the clamp tension to get the surfaces of the window and the fuse as close as possible.
