Brief Description: Riveting Horizontal Stabilizer and Vertical Stabil
Finished riveting HS-801PP Skin to HS-603PP Rear Spar. I will install the nut plates to HS-801PP, HS-405 Main Rib (2) and HS-404 Nose Rib (2). The holes are already prepared, and installing these parts now will simplify construction when these surfaces are on the airplane.
Began to rivet VS-801PP VS Skin to VS Rear Spar. Had to reset two -4 rivets that were “tipped.” Installed the Nut Plates in previously prepared holes in the VS-801PP, VS-705 Nose Rib and VS-704 Root Rib. Altho the manual says that the rivets are accessible to a squeezer I find that the manufactured and /or shop heads of the rivets in the rear spar interfere with the both pneumatic and hand squeezers.
