Getting better at removing poorly driven rivets. Also better at driving 1/8” rivets with a double offset rivet set. The secret is to fasten the set with tape so it does not spin.
With this technique I was able to drive the 1/8” rivets to fasten ribs HS-404R, HS-405R to the HS-702R Front Spar Assy.
Began to rivet the HS-801PPL skin onto the skeleton. Made the stupid error of installing the HS-706L tip rib in the wrong direction. Started to make the same mistake with the HS-708L Main Rib but was able to see the problem before driving any rivets.
Jim Ellis let me borrow his rivet shaver to smooth the heads of any flush rivet that is a bit proud on the skins. I also used his 5/32” Cupped Squeezer Set to set the larger rivets on the HS-404L/R to HS-702L/R.
I am also getting more consistent at driving 3/32" flush rivets.
