Brief Description:  Tools - Fuselage Assembly Jig fabrication, part 2

Today, I continued fabrication of my fuselage "AJFA" - Assembly Jig Final Assembly and eventually transport dolly. The objective of the day was to fabricate another 8 ft per 44 inches wide support frame to hold eventually the fuselage tailcone section.

I first started my day by going back to Rona to buy some more wood. I could have used the wood from the Seat Rib "PUPJ", but I still need that Pick-Up Jig for a few more days before I can break it down.

I did the second AJFA section much quicker than the first one from yesterday. I still had all the dimension fresh in my mind, thus I started by cutting all the parts at once, then proceeded with assembly. Finalized the assembly after dinner, then completed the first section by adding two long cross brace and the castering wheels for later use as a transport dolly.

Once I was done, I stood back and was really proud of my work. Indeed building an aircraft is great and a major accomplishment in itself, but I am amazed at myself for doing this carpentry project. Where did these skills came from, please tell me !? :-)
