Brief Description: Fuselage - Pick up parts at Michel Parent' shop
Early January, a former work colleague of mine put me in contact with Michel Parent. It turned out that Michel is a former college classmate. Michel operates part time a small machine shop in his two car garage. I gave Michel a small contract to do the following part fitting or manufacturing:
- For the F858-1 Shoulder Harness Anchors, machine the joggle in parts for them to fit under flange of bulkhead F808B-1 - For the gusset F868, manufacture nutplates for the wing tie down ring storage - For the flight controls pushrod F-840, cut the tube to lenght and fit the threaded rod ends - For the flight controls pushrod F-841, same thing, cut to lenght, and fit the threaded rod ends - Michel redid the tank attached bracket F-863-1 RH and LH with new raw material supplied. They turned out better than the ones I did initially - Much simpler to do on a lathe, I asked Michel to manufacture my FWD baggage door latch pins F-873L too.
It took about two weeks for Michel to do all this, and he charged me $185 CAD for the work. It is not that bad at all !
