Brief Description: Fuselage - Bullkhead F866B and Center Section
Per previous post, this work day started with long discussion about usefullness of modification on bulkhead F866B-1 for avionic access, and the quality of the work done. I followed this by cleaning the shop to start working on the fuselage center section.
According to DWG 64 and instruction pages 8-9 and 8-10, I did:
- Drill qty (4) holes dia 5/8" for snap bushing in bulkhead F804 fwd and aft for rudder cable pass through at the RV-8 location as shown on DWG 64 - Installed control column support F849 previously fabricated with bolt on front blkhd F804A, then match drill second hole, remove F849 and deburr hole - Match drill fwd and aft bulkhead rivet holes together - Final drill all nut plate holes dia #40 and countersinked those. - Match drill aft F804B-1 assy frames - Deburr holes - scuffed all parts - Installed bolts AN4-11 in F804 FWD in lieu of RV-8A landing gear bracket attachment.
I worked from 14h00 until 18h00, then from 19h45 until 21h30. I removed 2,0 hrs for shop clean up and discussion with my dad.
