Brief Description: Project Background - Delays in April
Earlier this year, I had set the objective to have the fuselage assembly completed by end of April 2017. The plan seemed achievable. It turned out as always that small details and personal modification got in the way.
In order to make the fuel and brake line on this aircraft, I needed additional tools. It took at least two weeks to get the tube straigtner ordered from Eastwood. I didn't want to start bending tubes without this tools, thus I had to wait that extra time. Also, I kept pushing in time the procurement of Fuel Boost Pump and Fuel Filter from Van's because of the purchase cost close to $1000 CAD with shipping and taxes. In the end, I made the purchase despite the fact that I will not use this boost pump soon, but I need it to manufacture my fuel lines.
April was also a busy month at work. I had two important project on-going that the same time at Nova Bus. It meant doing extra hours to complete these projects on time.
