Brief Description:  Fuselage - MOD - Rear Throttle new plate manufactu

This Saturday, I expected to work a full day on the RV-8. Since Winter is approaching and it is getting cooler in the shop, my Dad suggested that we install clear plastic climate barriers to ensure we can warm up the shop and prevent cold air in. Once that was done, I could resume working on the RV.

Today, I decided to redo the rear throttle quadrant support plate. I cut new 0.050" thick aluminum and duplicated all the holes from the previous part. Instead of making a big 2.5" lightening hole like the previous plate, I made 2" lightening holes just like the original Van's part. The only thing is that I move the holes a bit higher to make it easier to attach the throttle rod to the lever. Tomorrow, I will get the flange bended on this part.
