Brief Description: Fuselage - MOD - Flap actuator cover in LH aft arm
I took some time to build a cover for the Flap Actuator in the LH aft arm rest. This cover will protect the passenger from getting pinched by actuator when it is operating. The cover design came from another builder construction log. I made a 3D model of it to get a flat pattern. It turned out that my flat pattern made with cardboard while being inside the aircraft myself was more useful.
The cover was made with AL 2024-T3 0.025" thick. Part was cut from flat pattern, then it was bended at Ben Forget body shop, using his sheet metal brake.
I did not record how much time I spend on this little side project, but for sure, I am close to 5 hours.
