Brief Description: Fuselage - MOD - External Power - Door fitting
This Tuesday, my objective was to finalize the External Power Plug modification for good ! One last step remaining was match fitting the hatch door with the offset hinge arm. Since I couldn't locate the door if the hinge is located in place with cleco, I had the rivet the hinge to the doubler, then rivet the offset hinge arm as well. Once that was done, I taped the hatch door to the aircraft exterior side skin. From inside the aircraft, I drilled holes from the offset hinge arm into the hatch door.
With the hatch door clecoed to the hinge, I could try opening and closing the door. I have small interference on the fwd edge that will need to be corrected. I will also need to create a latch stopper on the aft side. More on that later.
