Brief Description: Fuselage - FWD and AFT Throttle Quadrant fittin
I did a bit more work today for fitting both the FWD and AFT throttle quadrant to the left side of fuselage cabin. After taking a big look at it the previous days, I am starting to understand a little more the modification I need to do in order to implement the optional aft throttle quadrant.
Today for this mod, I did:
- Identified the area to modify on F864A-1 FWD Quadrant mount - Made copies of template provided in Van's Aft throttle kit and applied those to aircraft structure - Removed F805L-1 frame from aircraft to modify it. Also removed F860A-L-1 to provide easier access to F804C-FL for later drilling. - I did research on Vansairforce to see what other RV-8 builder had done with this rear throttle installation.
