Brief Description: Fuselage - Fwd Baggage Door - Parts dimpling
Yesterday Saturday. I went to the shop late morning until 14h00. Then I went flying, the first time since last November. I came back in the evening for a little hour of work, then thinking about the next step do to on the RV-8.
On this work session, I did:
- Dimple all holes on the fwd baggage door skin. I first started by trying to dimple the F873E-1 parts at the same time with the skin F873A-1. That proved to be too difficult. I decided to dimple both parts separately. - I dimpled the door ribs F873B-1 and F873C-1 with my Vise Grip dimpler due to limited access for my other dimpling tools. - I machine countersunk the angle F873F to accept the dimples from the skin F873A-1. Later, I found out holes where not countersunk enough since there was a gap between the angle and the skin. I countersunk the hole a little deeper, and it solved the problem.
I worked from 11h00 until 14h00, then from 20h30 until 21h30
