Date:  12-18-2015
Number of Hours:  4.00
Manual Reference:  DWG 77
Brief Description:  Fuselage - Flap Bearing Block Fabrication & Pre-fi

On that Friday, first order of the day was to unwrap replacement parts received from Van's aircraft that day (See next post for Shop supplies). Then with new parts in hands, back to building the airplane....I did that day:

- In the replacement Flap bearing block part F445, I drilled pilot holes dia #40 in the press drill, but now using a newly purchased press drill vise to hold my part.
- Next, I drilled full size dia #10 in both flap bearing blocks F445 per reference DWG 77.
- F445 bearing blocks were fitted on W806 Flap actuator weldment
- F830-1 & F831-1 floor panel were re-installed temporarily on the seat rib structure
- F445 blocks & WD806 flap actuator were bolted to seat rib structure with the back hole in F445 blocks and bolts per DWG 77.
- I matched drill F445 front hole with seat rib structure

Later in the evening I did:

- Removed F445 and WD806
- Removed floor panels F830 & F831
- Dismantle F815C L/H and R/H for flap bearing block nutplate attachment rivet drilling
- Nutplate hole drilling and deburring in F815C L/H and R/H
- Then I modified rear seat back hinge to allow removal of floor F830 and F831 separately, Hinge was cut at the intersection of Floor panel F830 and F831.
- Rear seat back hinge pin was cut in two, and ends were bent 90 deg to allow easy installation or removal or rear seat back.

I worked from 15h30 until 18h00, then from 20h30 until 22h00.
