Brief Description:  Fuselage - Dimpling skins F826 & F827

This sunday afternoon, I had the great pleasure to having my friend Fred Mirabel coming to my shop. Fred is also a R/C aircraft modeller, but above all, he is a licence aircraft structure mechanic. On his day job, he works on rebuilding Canadian Air Force CF-18....Lots of knowledge right there !

First thing we did was to look at the work I had performed so far. Fred said he was impressed with it. Then we discuss about the necessity to have the floor panel made removable for future inspection. Then Fred thought me how to properly use my DRDT-2 for skin dimpling, with the objective of preventing the skin to "wave" everytime you make a dimple. We dimple together the lapjoint with both skin F826 and F827 clecoed together. We then proceed to dimple skin F826 completely.

Later in the evening, I came back and starting dimpling skin F827 with the new knowledge Fred gave me about dimpling.

I worked with Fred from 14h30 until 18h00, then from by myself 20h00 until 20h40.
