Brief Description:  Fuselage L/G Boxes Mod for serviceabilty

Following what other RV-8 builder suggested, and looking at different design approach on the internet, I decided to perform the mod on the L/G box to provide more accessibility for sevicing this area. I read and heard this was a necessary modification to help with L/G bolt torqing, fuel line access and brake line access too. Since it is easier to do at this stage of fuselage building, I proceeded with doing this modification.

From reviewing other RV-8 builder blogs, I noticed most are simply cutting the material away from the oblong bottom hole and center circle on F802C part. Others are cutting the F802C parts in three pieces, and replacing the center part with a new sheet metal access hatch. I chose this design approach. I worked to make this modification over a period of 4 days

On this day, I worked on this modification:

- From 10h45 until 12h00,
- From 14h45 until 18h00
- From 19h30 until 21h15
