Brief Description: Fuselage kit arrived in Montreal - Need to clear C
After a long wait during Summer and a journey by truck across North America, my RV-8 fuselage kit has finally arrived in Montreal. It took physically a lot less time for the kit to travel to Montreal than the paperwork processing to free the kit from customs. Therefore, my kit was in quarantine for at least 2 weeks until the appropriate import paper were available.
To save on cost, I took some time from work to do the self custom clearing myself. That was much easier than I expected, but required me to drive from truck depot to custom office downtown Montreal, then back to truck depot. The unexpected was the large bill for custom fees for this kit that hammered me that day...That didn't matter because I had my fuselage kit soon to be delivered home now !
