Brief Description: First Contact with Dale Lamport

Following my first RV-8 flight with Kevin Horton on Jan 5, 2013, I got an e-mail from him stating that a fellow RV owner and multiple builder also from Smith Falls would like to offer me a RV-8 empenage kit. I contacted this gentleman, Mr. Dale Lamport, to get more details. It turns out Dale inherited this empenage kit from a friend who abandoned the project. The project had been started, but very little was done. Over the phone, Dale not only proposed to sell me this kit, but also build it for me during winter. Before accepting this offer, I had to go check it out. Therefore, we agreed that I would come again to Smith Falls the next week-end.
