On this day back in August 2012, I ordered the RV-8 Preview Plans from Van's Aircraft. Although no actual work was done until much later, we can potentially say that the project started was intiated on that date by this first action.
I motivation to order this plan set came after spending almost a week at Oskhosh Air Venture 2012. Upon reception of plans, those were copied, and scanned. I can safely say I looked at least a hundred times at those plans before actually ordering parts from Van's!
