Brief Description: restarting project after years in limbo
Getting back to this project after a layoff of about six years. Went to Oshkosh, met a group of fellow Thatcher builders and got inspired to finish this plane. I even went miles out of my way on the trip home to visit a done and flying CX4 in Garden City, Kansas. So now I am firmly resolved to get on with the project. Cleared out some work space in the hangar, assembled the wing panels to the center section just to give myself a visual incentive to get on with it. On advice from my new friend in Garden City, I ordered the fiberglass tips for elevator and wing tips so I can have them on hand and build to them instead of trying to fit them to elevators and wing tips already built. I love getting these kind of hints from people who are ahead of me in this process. Pictures below show my wing panels and center section.
