Brief Description:  Canopy & gear

Checked fit of canopy and frame. Pulled it all back apart again and tweaked the frame and trimmed the frame latch tube. Re-assembled and checked fit. Pulled it back apart one more time and then checked fit. This time I was happy so I pulled it back apart again. Started by riveting the center cover strip and canopy to frame. Put the canopy and frame back on so that it would be the proper shape for riveting. I riveted the front frame bow. Pulled it back off the plane and riveted and bolted the side skins to the frame. Put it back on the plane and clecoed the rear skirts. I still need to rivet the rear skirts but the canopy is basically finished and I am happy with the fit. It slides very easy and the side skins have no gap. Spent a little time trimming the lower fuse skin where the gear legs need clearamce. I found it difficult to get the fuse up high enough to get the gear legs in so I will us a strap to pull it up tomorrow.
