Brief Description:  Center section

Match drilled the bottom center skin to the bottom of the center section, clasmped and drilled the F-682 baggage ribs, counter sunk the bottom skin to the F-904-A bulkhead, clamped and drilled in assembly the F-904-H doublers. Pulled it all back apart for priming. So I started with deburring, dimpling, straightened flanges, cleaned and primed. Building has changed since i started this project. In the begining when I started the tail feathers the instructions were very complete. They told you when and where to dimple, countersink or prime. Then as the wings were started the instructions shortened. They told you when to disassemble but not what to dimple or countersink. Now with the fuselage it has become more like building an airplane rather than assembling. I think it is fun and more challenging. Now as I disassemble I look at each part as I deburr and decide what it mates up to and how it is fastened and with what kind of rivets and in what order. Takes more thinking. Sometimes lke the rear section of the F-904 bulkhead you need to decide if you want to countersink the spar or dimple. Of course because it mates with other parts some times you have an option and others you better get it right.
