Brief Description:  DAR prep

DAR was due at 10 am so I had a few small things to finish and a few panels to remove. RV-7 Chris had found a few spots where I should support the plug wires a little better. Found a way to better rivet the ELT plate to the stiffeners. DAR showed up early and we started the inspection. He suggested I re-safety wire the prop. I did that while he spent more time looking. He found I had left the tailwheel axle nut loose and no cotter pin. I think that was it. Air Worthiness issued by 11:30 am. I spent the rest of the day re-installing all the access panels and fairings. Finished right about 6 pm. Made my first flight that evening. Great flight, nice and smooth with good weather. All temps were in check and the only squawk was the sidetone on the radio could not be heard. It sucks using the radio and hearing yourself.
:) :) :) :)
That is my RV smile.
