Well last night I cried Uncle. I had spent all day trying to get the canopy frame to fit correctly and at the end of the day I felt I had a pretty good fit. Then I tried to close the frame. The rear of the frame hit the turtle deck. What the heck. I also didn't understand a few of the measurements in the instructions. If you set the side rails 1/16" from the side of the canopy you can not keep the 1/16" gap along the rear bow. So i called Uncle Van's for the first time. I seems that since you can't keep both offsets correct, you must worry about the side rails. Then later in construction you can cut the F-7112 turtle deck skin back to get the proper offset. This made perfect since but isn't mentioned in the instructions or plans. So tonight I spent more time trying to get the offset correct. I also layed the frame in the bubble and marked the first trim and the latch hole.
