I have to confess my first large mistake. I was bending and twisting the longerons and I drilled the F-721 in assembly in the wrong place. I put the front of the F-721 at the 38" mark instead of the 28' mark. When I corrected the problem it left additional holes. This weakens the major structure. I sent Van's support an email to ask if I needed to replace and they confirmed that I did. The problem is that the piece is not too much money but it is very difficult to ship and about $200 in shipping cost for a $40 part. It is a 6061-T6 aluminum angle 1/8"x3/4"x3/4" but 15' long. I check around localy and no one had this size. Rather than ordering from Van's and having it shipped from Oregon I found some in Kentucy and ONLY $125 in shipping. I almost hit the send button but chickened out. Kept looking and ended u finding a place 2 miles from the office that had it in stock. $16 and no freight. i could not believe it. Made my day. Now I just need to rebend and twist the new longeron.
