Brief Description:  R. Leading edge

Sorry same picture. Cut and shaped leading edge/tank splice strip. Drilled rib, skin and splice strip in assembly. Leading edge was match drilled to the skins and spar. This will be left in place while I work on the tank.
This evening being the First Friday of the month means I went to the Sanford Southeast ramp social. Most of the RV guys showed up tonight and I got to talk RV stuff. Also got Chris's phone number so I can help when needed. Went to Chris's hanger and spent some time looking at his plane. I also was loosing sleep over the fact that the last RV I sat in was Mike's RV-7A and my legs did not fit under the dash. I talked to Mike and did say that his panel had been dropped 1.5 inches. I asked Chris if his RV-7 had a dropped panel and it did not. So Chris let me sit in his RV-7. I will now be able to sleep again as I had good room with the stock panel height. Chris's is a tip up canopy but is the same head room as the slider and I had good headroom. We then walked down to Mike's hanger and spent some time looking at his RV-7A as Chris was in the middle of a Annual Inspection for Mike and they had the Cowl off. Mike's plane is very clean and well put together. It is a IO-360 with the AFS fuel injection that I will be using. I also had noticed on Chris's plane that he used quite a few wire ties on the engine mount. As a A&P he had no problem with it if you keep an eye on it. Chris's plane is a VFR only, not landing light tailwheel plane. He says he believes in simple. Mike's is full IFR and a tricycle gear RV-7A. Both very nice.
