Started this morning by deburring lightning holes and edges on the spars. Thank goodness for power tools. I used a sander on the spars and they went quick. I haven't gotten used to the scotchbritewheel yet. It takes a lot of material, won't grind square and is too ruff. Still needs sanding when done. Then I assembled the righjt side so I could match drill the skins. Needed to remove the blue.I cut only strips of blue where the spars and ribs go so that when I prime it will be neat. Assembly went well and things lined up well. I have decided that the clecos are the biggest job of building. People talk about 17,000 rivets and that seems like a lot. However each rivet hole needs a lot of prep work so the cleco is installed and then removed about four times per hole. I hink that is more than 17k.
