Woke bright and early, sadly not a lot could be done today, life and work imposed on me and I didn't get a chance to do much, but I did continue on from last night and managed to get the tangs bent up and in place with a little jiggling (most of the holes need a 6mm or 8mm drill bit run through them (just gently)) Nothing more is really needed to make everything fit, its just a matter of jiggling this to make that fit and vice versa.
I removed the cable supports in the middle and put this aside (with some wire attached nearby!) and that was about it for the day.
Had to do the tax, then work, then go do family things that night, hopefully more work tomorrow!
