17-7-12 -- The FedEx Guy turned up today and gave over another box of goodies, this time Parts for the Fuel System arrived, mainly the Fuel Line, Fuel Gauge and other parts arrived in the box. Some Open Decals arrived as well.
The Falcon Card compass arrived (Yes, the southern Hemisphere version (Make sure you get this one, on discussion with the people at AS&S, they have started asking the question, as a lot of people from this end of the world forget about the need for a magnetic compass to be bias'ed for the southern hemisphere) and the mounting bracket.
In the order I got a GT50 and OAT Probe for a fellow builder, I am very eager to see it in operation in his aircraft, the unit has several modes, G Load Logging, Flight Timer (Activated from the button or from when you turn the key, what a cool idea!), Volt Meter and some more interesting modes, There is also an audio mixer device that I've noticed in there catalog, perhaps that could be put in, to mix in a couple of audio inputs (IPOD input anyone? No, Just a thought!)
Got a very handy little box for mounting the Audio onto, I'm going to get the welder (if possible) to weld in a little guide so that I can mount it directly to the tank, some small cuts in the bottom, and I've got some sheilded 2 core cable and some black anaconda, and its going to look very neat!
A Very Large Roll of Prop Tape has arrived as well, 6" wide, for the leading edges, to help with the bugs, dont know if its going to go on or not, need to do some more reading, my questions on how to remove it from XLAM fabric have gone un-answered, but would love to hear from anyone that has any experience.
Snapvents arrived, I was lead astray, I got two units, but the units have two in each box, so I have four vents, oh well, got some backups for the future!
No Real work was accomplished, Logged some more serial numbers, double checked the stock, seperated the stock into rough catagories so I've got an idea where to find specific things.
