Brief Description: Reinstalled Rudder Bearings and completed right el
After the leading edge of the rudder is rolled it's necessary to install the rudder bearings. Each is done to a specific measurement. This is now complete.
The right elevator stiffners were back riveted in place using the new cleavland tool as seen on the EAA website. After a few practice hits on scrap pieces I did the real thing. The rivets looked over hit, although this is not supposed to be possible. After closer inspection, measurement with the go-no-go gauge showed the rivets to be the right size. Go figure.
The tool is pretty cool. Just hit a rivet 3 or 4 hits and move on to the next rivet. The finished product is darn near perfect looking.
