Assembled main spar with aft ribs attached to folding portion of wings. Determined that I should not attach doubler gussets to forwar ribs until after I updrill the gussets through the spar and aft rib attachments. It will be easier to drill without the ribs in the way.
I also tried using a piece of styrofoam underneath the ribs while I was updrilling the doubler gussets to the ribs. These are fairly thin members and deflect while drilling. The styrofoam provided support and still allowed the protruding part of the clecos to penetrate easily. I found I could drill must faster and the pieces did not deflect.
