Brief Description: Install Brake/Axle on Landing Gear and Attach Gear
Inserted axles into landing gear and attached brake assemblies and wheel pant attach plates to gear frame. Assembled wheels with tubes and tires. Hand packed wheel bearings with grease and installed on axles. I had already fit and updrilled the landing gear to the fuselage so it was just a matter of installing 10 AN5-12 bolts with misc hardware to attach gear to fuselage. Used my silent partner (Kubota tractor) to lift the fuselage with gear attached off of the work table and set on the floor.
Note: Had the axle bolts all cleaned up and kept them in my freezer at zero degrees for several days and they slipped into the axles. Also warmed up the gear frame with a heat lamp for 1/2 hour.
