Brief Description:  E-bus wiring

Routed the six E-bus wires from the E-bus fuse block through the bulkheads on the RH side and to the instrument panel. There were three different wire sizes. 2 each of 14, 18 and 20. The E-bus will provide backup power for the Avidyne IDF-440 navigator Nav and Com sides, the fuel boost pump, landing light and pitot heat. It will also provide power for the rear seat USB outlet. That’s not a backup circuit but I put it on the E-bus so it will always be hot so I can charge devices when the master switch is off.

I routed each of the wires one at a time and loosely secured them with twist ties, cable ties and Adel clamps. After I cut each one to length I labeled both ends with paper lables under clear shrink tubing so that I would know the purpose of each wire and where it should be connected. A spade connector was crimped onto the aft end of each of the wires and the wires were then connected to their corresponding tab on the E-bus fuse block.

The next step will be to string tie the wires into a neat bundle and clamp the bundles to the airframe with Adel clamps.
