For a long time I've been planning to redo the brake lines that run from the parking brake valve to the bottom of the gear towers. The previous ones took up too much space where they entered the upper lightning holes of the gear towers. I was concerned that they would interfere with the wire bundles which will run from in from of the panel to the mid and aft fuselage.
I spent a great deal of time looking at the gear towers and considering various configurations including multiple pieces with fittings mounted in the gear tower plates. Eventually I settled on a modified version of what had already been there.
I fabricated a new RH brake line that enters the gear with an inverted "U" at the forward edge of the lightning hole. It leaves over 2 1/2" for the wire bundles which will be more than enough.
