Brief Description: Forward skins and tailcone prep
Deburred the forward skins and clecoed them to the forward fuselage assembly.
Cut the F-800 into its constituent parts
Spent time trying to interpret the plans to understand where the line for the top of the tail wheel support bracket goes. After researching on the internet I discovered that the dimension on the plans is wrong and also that there are holes for "keeper rivets" that aren't shown on the drawing, but the dimensions reference them. Laid out the line for the top of the tail spring bracket on the F-812 bulkhead, clamped it in place and match drilled it to the 1/8 holes for the keeper rivets..
Scuffed, dimpled, cleaned and primed the F-812 bulkheads. Cleaned and primed the tailwheel spring.
Cut apart theF-811B support bars, clecoed them to the F-811A and E bulkheads and started match drilling the bars to the bulkheads. I decided to try a drill guild to ensure that the holes were square but it was hard to see where the drill bit was and I ended up misdrilling one of the holes about 1/8" from the hole in the bulkheads. Since this part will carry loads from the horizontal stabilizer I decided to order replacement parts from vans
