Cut out the upper baggage compartment bulkhead as part of a mod to permit improved access to the back of the avionics mounted in the instrument panel. Fabricated a panel which will become the hinged door to allow access to the avionics.
Trimmed a hinge section to length. Positioned the lower hinge half along the rivet line that attaches the baggage compartment bulkheads and match drilled the hinge to the holes in the rivet line. Drilled the top hinge half and the access door with a row of holes for rivets to mount the hinge to the access door.
