Brief Description:  Aileron pushrods and LH bell crank

Finished priming the long aileron pushrods. Primed the end caps for the long push rods. Riveted the end caps to the pushrods.

Assembled and temporarily installed the aileron bellcrank for the LH wing. In the process I discovered two problems with the kit supplied parts. One of the two brass bellcrank bushings supplied by Vans is too short. It's supposed to be slightly longer than the bellcrank in which it is installed so that when the bolt is tightened it clamps on the bushing rather than the bellcrank. One of them is shorter than the bell crank so it won't work. I'll have to get a new one from vans.

The other problem I discovered was that one of the two AN4-32 bolts supplied with the kit is too fat at one end, Near the hex head. It too me a little while to figure this out. I first reamed the bushing out per the plans with a 1/4" reamer but when I put the bolt in it would only go 3/4 of the way and was tight after that. After playing around with it for a little while I tried the other of the two AN4-32 bolts and it slid right in. Must be that the first one was just a little too fat. I'll order 4 or 5 new ones. Hopefully one of them will work in the RH side.
