Brief Description:  Prosealed 5 inner ribs to RH tank skin

I'm departing from the Van's instructions for installing the tank ribs. Rather than riveting them while the proseal is still within its squeeze out life, I'm using the "Rick G" method from Van's air force because it is much less messy. With the Rick G method you apply proseal to the ribs and skin and then assemble them together with clecos in every hole. The proseal is then allowed to partially cure before installing the rivets. This way you're not riveting with wet, uncured proseal getting on everything.

After masking off the tank skin where the edge of the ribs go I buttered up the faying surfaces common to the center five ribs and RH tank skin and then closed the skin around the ribs and installed clecos in all of the holes that attach the ribs to the skin.

The next couple of hours were spent smoothing the squeeze out into nice, uniform, uninterrupted fillets on both sides of each rib as well as cleaning excess proseal from the inside and outside surfaces of the tanks skin. After the proseal had cured a few hours I removed the masking tape.
