Finished matched drilling LH bottom wing skins

Built a template for locating the tie down ring hole in the LE skin. The plans have you draw lines on the aft skin that intersect at the center point of the tie down ring. This method seems like it could result in mislocated holes so I came up with a template that can be clecoed to the outside of the bottom skin once the LE skin is in place to accurately locate the hole.

First I cut a piece of scrap aluminum left over from the wing walk doubler to 10" x 3" and drilled a 3/8" hole in the approximate location that will put it over the threaded hole in the tie down block. I then installed the template in place on the bottom of the wing with the tie down ring through the hole and threaded into the block and the lower (aft) corners under the wing skins. After lining things up I match drilled a hole through the skin and template in each of the lower corners. That's it. Now the template can be clecoed in place on top of the skin's and the tie down hole position can be marked onto the LE skin.
