This is the culmination of a number of work sessions over the last few weeks during which I fabricated a hinged door assembly to close out the lower area between the cabin left hand center bulkheads. The lower half of the assembly is fastened to the bulkheads and the top half door includes a paddle latch to lock it in the closed position. This provides additional storage in the cabin area. I'm really happy with how it came out and I'm planning to make and identical one for the right side.
This was an idea I copied from an RV-8 that I saw on display at Airventure a few years ago.
