Layed up four plies of fiberglass/epoxy on the bottom of the RH upper intersection fairing to fill in the area that I had cut out to clear the forward outboard landing gear bolt.
Installed a #6 nutplate in the LH side of the fuselage for use in attaching the top flange of the intersection fairing. I followed the lead of another RV-8 builder and installed the nutplate from the outside since there's so little access inside the gear towers. I drilled a #12 hole in the fuselage which allowed the nutplate to sit nearly flush. I cut one ear of the nutplate off and drilled a hole in the fuselage matching the other ear. Then the nutplate was blind riveted in place.
Applied epoxy/flox to the inside edge of the RH upper intersection fairing and fastened it in place on the fuselage/landing gear so that the epoxy/flox will fill in gaps between the fairing and fuselage surface.
Applied epoxy/flox to the inboard aft edge of the RH wing tip to build up an area that is too short. Once it cures and I sand it to shape I'll layup some fiberglass plies over it.
