Brief Description:  R&R brake line fittings on langing gear legs

Removed the RH gear leg from the aircraft. Marked the clocking of the upper brake line fitting on the gear leg. Removed the fitting and cleaned the sealant from the threads. Used a brand-new Bosch NPT tap to clean up the threads in the leg and to cut them a little deeper. Cleaned out the threads by blowing air up from the bottom of the brake fluid passage in the leg so that the metal chips were blown out. Applied Loctite 567 thread sealant to the threads of the fitting and reinstalled it in the gear leg. Tightened the fitting so that it is aligned with the clocking mark. Reinstalled the gear leg in the fuselage.

Repeated the above with the LH gear leg.

I'll let the sealant cure for 24 hours and then I'll refill the brake system and check for leaks.

Trimmed the lower empennage fairings for a 3/16 inch gap between the fairing and the horizontal stabilizer. Installed the rubber channel on the fairing edge and reinstalled the fairing on the fuselage
