Painted some more interior screws with light machine gray.

Rebonded the click stud that had snapped off when I installed the wing attach bolts. The previous attempt at rebonding it failed because the adhesive never cured, presumably because it was old.


Finalized the length of the bellcrank-to-control column aileron push rods, tightened the lock nuts and connected the pushrods to the control column.


Replaced the desiccant in the spark cylinder dehydrators in cylinders 2 – 4. Cylinder 1 is still blue, probably because the valves in that cylinder are closed.


Installed the ailerons and bellcrank-to-aileron pushrods. Finalized the length of the pushrods. Tightened the locknuts.

Installed the flaps and the flap pushrods. Tightened the locknuts on the flap pushrods

Tightened the nut on the bolt that connects the flap actuator to the flap weldment. Installed the cotter pin.

Removed the upper flap actuator cover. Safety wired the top of the flap actuator to the bolt that connects the actuator to the fuselage. This is recommended by a Van’s service bulletin. Replaced the upper flap actuator cover.

Installed the aileron pushrod boot on the left-hand side. The right-hand side one will be done after the wire harness is bolted to the click stud I bonded to the fuselage floor earlier today. The boots are to help cut down on drafts coming through the aileron pushrod openings.
