Drilled the ¼ inch holes through the F-863 tank attach brackets and T-405 angles. After the wing is removed, I’ll install nut plates on the F-863 brackets and cut a slot in the T-405 angle from the inboard edges to the bolt hole.
Fabricated and installed aluminum tubes to connect the fuel vent fittings on the fuselage to the fittings on the fuel tank.
Cut the fuel supply lines to length and flared the outboard ends that attach to the fuel tanks.
Drilled ¼ inch holes in the sides of the fuselage just aft of the gear towers and 1 inch off the floor which will allow the fuel level wires to penetrate the skins and connect to the fuel sending units. Installed snap bushings in the holes.
Installed the W-816 aileron push rod assemblies in the wings and connected them to the control column.
