Brief Description:  Wing tips part 14

Removed the RH wing tip and sanded the spot putty

Sanded down the micro on the LH wing tip and the leading edge of the RH wing tip

Removed the LH wing tip and applied spot putty

Cut and fit a replacement wingtip lens for the LH wing tip. My plan had been to replace both of the original wing tip lenses I had made because I had scratched them both when scraping the edges with a utility knife, but I managed to cut the RH one too short. I thought I would save time by using the old one as a pattern to cut the new one by placing the old one over the new one and marking cut lines but because of line length distances because the two radiuses weren't concentric, the new one ended up too short, even though I had left a little excess. The old RH one only had small scratch so I decided to just use the old one.

I cut the LH lens the same way I did the old ones, by positioning it on the wingtip, marking the edge location and gradually cutting/scraping/sanding away the edge to get a good fit. I covered both the OML and IML with masking tape to protect it from scratches, but I still managed to make a small scratch on the IML. Fortunately that polished out with Novus 7100.
