Brief Description: Wing tips part 5 and misc tasks
Tightened the roll servo linkage jam nuts and applied torque stripes
Removed the LH wing aileron bellcrank bushing, applied grease (Aeroshell #6) and reinstalled. Torqued bolts and applied torque stripes.
Removed the access panels from the RH wing to check the routing of the aileron harness since I had pulled it to connect it to the CPC connector. The harness had a great deal of slack which I remove by pulling the harness from the root end. In removing the cover plates I found that most of the screws were extremely tight. One was so bad that the screw driver striped the head and it had to be drilled out and the nut plate replaced. Ran a tap through each of the nut plates for all six access panels to make the screws easier to remove. While I was at it I used an angle grinder to shave down the top of some proud nutplate rivets.
Solder spliced extensions onto the LH and RH nav/strobe lights.
Sanded the surface of the RH wing tip with a random orbital sander and 120 grit. Installed the tip on the wing and applied another later of micro to fill low spots
