Brief Description: RH wing tip hinges and VOR antenna
Installed the LH wing tip on the LH wing with the hinge pins and retainers. The fit is good and secure.
Riveted the upper OB hinge half on the RH wing tip using the same method of epoxy/flox in the flox rivet holes.
Terminated the end of a short piece of RG400 coaxial cable with ring terminals soldered in place. Fastened the ring terminals to the Bob Archer VOR/LOC antenna that will be installed in the RH wing tip. The other end of the cable will be terminated with a male or female BNC connector that will facilitate wing tip removal.
Riveted the lower OB hinge half and the Bob Archer antenna to the RH wing tip.
Did a wet epoxy layup of single ply 2 inch wide strips of fiberglass fabric at three locations to hold the blade portion of the Archer antenna in place.
