Spent some time working on methods to remove the scratches from the wing tip lenses. Practiced on scrap first. I tried a combination of Menguiars #7 polish (recommended by Van's ), A Novis 7100 plastic polishing kit, and the sanding paper and polishing wheel from a headlight polishing kit I had in the garage. I was able to remove the scratches but it left noticable blemishes in the lens that distort the light passing through.
Fabricated a fixture to hold the wing tips while I work on finishing them up.
Countersank the rivet holes arount the inboard edges of the LH wing tip
