Drilled out the temporary rivets holding the canopy bubble to the frame

Scuffed cleaned and painted the canopy frame

Drilled out the rivet holes in the canopy bubble to 1/4 inch for the fuel tubing bushings. After I drilled out the ones for the canopy front bow I realized that I wasn't planning to open them up since there's nothing on the outside that would prevent the rivets from pulling in to the 1/4 inch hole. I'll have to make a layup in that area which will have countersunk holes providing a clamping surface. The front windscreen layup will have to be modified accordingly. No big deal. It might even look cleaner when the canopy is open.
