Cleaned up the epoxy/flox buildups on the rudder cap. Cut two 1/2 inch wide strips of aluminum to act as molds to finish extending the flanges on the rudder cap. Mixed up more epoxy/flox and applied it to the cap flanges. Clamped the forming strips in place.
Cut the elevator caps to fit in the ends of the LH and RH elevator. Match drilled the caps to the elevators.
Installed 1/4 inch nut plates on the webs of the elevator counter balances. These will allow me to install a bolt with a washer stack up to fine tune the balance weight.
Cleaned up the shop and reconfigured it so that I can install the elevator on the fuselage and still walk around it. I'll be installing the empennage so that I can install all of the caps and make sure they are aligned with each other.
