Brief Description:  Trial canopy trimming

Cut the notch in the bottom of the canopy rear stop blocks to clear the aft most canopy rail screws. Removed the canopy frame and the canopy rollers. Inserted the rear canopy stop blocks into the front of the canopy tracks and slid them into place at the aft ends. Replaced the rollers and the canopy frame.

Used my dremel Sawmax with a cutoff wheel to do some trial cuts on the canopy flange excess. Smoothed the edges of the trial piece by dragging the edge of the blade of a good pair of scissor across them per the Van's manual. This produced a better edge than sanding did.

Drilled some trial holes in the canopy sample using plastic drills and a unibit. Both produced acceptable holes.

Purchased the materials to make a holding jig to support the canopy frame during canopy fit up. This is an idea I saw on RV-8Hangar.com
